One of the key features of the organic modern style is that it is organic. It feels natural and found. That means the shapes and materials reflect what we often see in nature, an in that it’s a little imperfect. Modern Classic style also known as Modern Traditional is a unique mashup of both modern design elements and traditional ones. Think clean line furniture, rich moody color palette, and sprinkle in vintage or antique items.

Sometimes referred to as "granny chic" this emerging design style is anything but old school. Taking the best of traditional decor and making it young, bright, and fun. Grand Millennial decor blends traditional patterns, shapes, and furniture and blends it with subtle coastal finishes like wicker and rattan. Lots of bold pastel colors, floral patterns, chinoiseries vases, intaglios, skirted and scalloped edges.

Fixer Upper taught us all that old can be made new and that charm and character should be put on display. However, many overshoot JoAnna’s sleek lines and worn accents trademark and end up somewhere north of Hobby Lobby.
