Homzie Inc. – Terms of Service
Please review these key terms carefully. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to all terms below and the full Terms of Service that follow.
All Sales Are Final (No Refunds)
Because all Homzie services are custom and tailored to your space, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, chargebacks, or retroactive discounts for purchased or in-progress services. Clients have up to one year from the purchase date to submit their questionnaire and begin their project. Unused services will expire.
Shopping For Your Space During the Design Process Is Not Supported
To keep your project focused, efficient, and cohesive, shopping for your space either independently or reverse searching items in your design prior to the completion of your project and release of your shopping links and information is not permitted without expressed written permission. Shopping or purchasing items prior to design completion may result in: additional fees, conversion to an hourly design rate, or lead to the immediate termination of your project. This policy helps protect your timeline and the integrity of your final design.
Designs and Renderings Are Conceptual
All layouts, design plans, and renderings provided by Homzie are conceptual visual tools and are not construction documents. We do not provide construction drawings, permit-ready plans, structural, engineering, or trade guidance, on-site measurements or verification, or contractor coordination or job-site oversight. All final execution decisions should be reviewed and confirmed with your contractor or installer prior to implementation.
You Are Responsible for Measurements, Orders, and Installation
Clients are responsible for providing accurate room measurements and photos, verifying product dimensions prior to ordering, and confirming proper fit, clearances, and compatibility within their space. Homzie Designs is not responsible for incorrect measurements, products ordered by the client, or any shipping issues, damages, delays, or vendor errors. Any product-related issues must be addressed directly with the retailer or vendor.
Communication & Participation Are Required
Our services each operate on a structured timeline, and timely communication is essential to keep your project moving forward. Clients are expected to respond to designer communications within 48 hours (Monday–Friday) unless otherwise communicated in advance. Failure to respond within this timeframe may pause your project, result in removal from the design queue, require a restart fee to resume services, or, in some cases, lead to project termination.
Below are our full Terms of Service
Homzie Inc. – Terms of Service
By purchasing or using any service offered by Homzie Inc. (“Homzie”), you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. Services Provided
Homzie provides virtual interior design and decorating services delivered digitally. All services are advisory and conceptual in nature. Homzie does not provide on-site services, construction management, contractor coordination, trade or engineering guidance, permit-ready drawings, or code compliance.
2. Scope of Services Governs
The scope, deliverables, timelines, revision allowances, and limitations of each service are defined on the applicable sales page at the time of purchase. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms described on the corresponding sales page and htis agreement. Homzie is not obligated to provide services or deliverables not expressly listed on that sales page.
3. Project Timelines
All project timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Project timelines begin only after all required onboarding materials, including completed questionnaires, measurements, and photos, have been submitted and approved.
Delays in Client communication, incomplete or inaccurate information, or missed response windows may pause, extend, or otherwise impact the project timeline.
Client may request to voluntarily pause their project at any time. Paused projects will be held until Client requests to resume Services. When a paused project is reactivated, a $45 restart fee will apply to reintegrate the project into the design queue. Extended pauses or pauses occurring during the revision phase may require additional fees or continuation under Homzie’s hourly rate, at Designer’s discretion, due to changes in product availability or project scope.
4. Design Direction, Revisions, and Renderings
Each project begins with the presentation of one cohesive design direction developed from the information provided during onboarding. The revision window is intended to refine and adjust this original design direction and does not include the development of multiple or unrelated design concepts.
For services that include renderings, renderings are presented during the initial design phase and updated once at final delivery following the revision window. Renderings are not continuously updated throughout the revision process.
Revision availability, quantity, style, and duration vary by service and are outlined on the applicable sales page. Revisions requested outside the stated revision window or beyond the scope of the purchased service may require additional fees or may not be supported.
5. Creative Discretion
Client acknowledges and agrees that interior design services are creative in nature and inherently subjective. While Homzie makes best efforts to align designs with Client’s stated goals, preferences, and functional needs, Homzie retains creative discretion regarding how Services are performed and how design solutions are developed, interpreted, and executed.
Client confirms familiarity with Homzie’s services, deliverables, process, and portfolio and understands that Homzie’s work continues to evolve. By engaging Homzie, Client affirms that Services are requested with full knowledge of the nature and scope of the deliverables and Homzie’s design approach, informed by Homzie’s professional experience and the information provided by Client.
Creative differences or dissatisfaction with aesthetic elements alone do not constitute a breach of this Agreement. Client understands that design outcomes may vary from expectations and agrees that such variations are an inherent part of a collaborative, creative process. By entering into this Agreement, Client acknowledges that they are hiring Homzie for its professional expertise and agrees to engage in the process in good faith and with reasonable trust in that expertise.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate measurements, photos, inspiration, preferences, and timely feedback. Homzie relies entirely on client-provided information and is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information.
Clients are responsible for reviewing and providing final approval of all designs prior to purchasing furniture, materials, or decor. By proceeding with purchases, the client confirms acceptance of the design as final. Homzie does not review or approve purchases made prior to final approval.
7. Shopping During the Design Process
To maintain a focused and efficient design process, shopping, vendor requests, and pricing inquiries are paused until the design project is complete. Shopping or purchasing items at any point during the design process is not supported and may result in additional fees, project delays, conversion to hourly services, or termination of the project.
8. Payments, Refunds, and Expiration
Payment is due at the time of purchase, either in full or through an approved installment plan offered at checkout. Selection of an installment plan does not alter the total purchase price, refund policy, or the client’s obligation to complete all scheduled payments.
Because all Homzie services are custom and tailored to your space, all sales are final once purchased. Refunds, chargebacks, and retroactive discounts are not offered for purchased or in-progress services.
If a client chooses to cancel services, the purchased service may be transferred to another individual or applied toward a different Homzie service of equal or greater value. Any difference in service value must be paid in full. Transfers or service changes do not extend expiration timelines and may be subject to administrative fees.
Unless otherwise noted on the applicable sales page, clients have up to one year from the purchase date to submit their questionnaire and begin their project. Unused services may expire. Any additional services beyond the scope of this Agreement will be billed by Designer to Client at a rate of $55.00 per hour with a two hour minimum.
Any invoice not paid in full within 7 days of receipt will be charged a $45.00 late fee. In the event Client fails to remit payment as specified or does not pay an invoice within 15 days, Designer shall have the right to immediately terminate this Agreement with no further obligation, retain any monies already paid as liquidated damages, invoice Client for any outstanding balance, and is not required to complete the final interior design project duties as outlined in.
9. Communication& Responsiveness
Client acknowledges that Homzie’s design services are collaborative in nature and require timely communication to ensure success. Designer’s primary methods of communication are our virtual design studio platform and email. Designer will generally respond to Client inquiries within two (2) business days. Client acknowledges that Designer may observe holidays or take vacation time and that project timelines may be adjusted accordingly.
Timely communication from Client is essential to keeping the project on schedule. Delayed or incomplete responses may result in project delays, extended timelines, or changes in product availability. Designer is not responsible for mitigating or correcting issues caused by delayed communication.
Following submission of the Project Questionnaire, the project is considered active and Client is placed in the Designer’s queue. If Client anticipates being unavailable during the design window, including due to travel or scheduling conflicts, Client must disclose this information in the Project Questionnaire prior to submission so it may be considered when scheduling. Failure to disclose known unavailability does not pause or extend the project timeline.
If Client fails to respond within required timeframes, Client may be removed from the Designer’s queue and a $45 restart fee will apply to resume Services. If Client cancels the Kick-Off Call twice, a $45 restart fee will be required to re-enter the design queue.
Client agrees to respond to Designer communications within forty-eight (48) business hours, unless otherwise stated. Client is responsible for ensuring receipt of communications from Homzie and the assigned Designer, including maintaining a valid email address and monitoring spam or filtered folders. Failure to receive or review communications does not relieve Client of response obligations.
Continued lack of response may, at Designer’s sole discretion, result in project pause, removal from the design queue, conversion to hourly services at $55 per hour, project finalization as-is without revisions or link guarantees, or termination of this Agreement. All payments made will be retained, and Client remains responsible for any outstanding balances for Services rendered.
10. Confidentiality
Both parties agree not to, without the prior written consent of the other party, disclose to any third person or entity, other than in the proper course of performance under this Agreement, any information that under the circumstances ought to be reasonably treated as confidential or proprietary. Confidential or proprietary information includes, but is not limited to, personal information, business plans and strategies, trade secrets, legal documents including this Agreement and fees charged under this Agreement, customer, contractor and vendor information, design proposals, future and proposed products, marketing plans, processes, operations, and other business, personal, finance, or technical information.
10. Designs and Limitations
Designer’s drawings, layouts, design plans, and renderings are conceptual in nature and are intended solely to communicate interior design intent. These materials are not architectural, engineering, or construction documents and may not be used for architectural, engineering, permitting, or construction purposes. Designer services do not include modifications to or guidance related to structural, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, or other mechanical systems.
Designer is not a licensed architect, engineer, or contractor. Client acknowledges and agrees that Designer does not provide construction drawings, permit-ready plans, trade specifications, on-site measurements or verification, contractor coordination, or job-site oversight. Client agrees to hire appropriately licensed professionals for all construction-related work and to review and confirm all design plans with such professionals prior to implementation. Client agrees to hold Designer harmless from any claims, damages, or issues arising from construction, architecture, engineering, or trade work.
10. Product Recommendations
As part of the Services, Homzie may provide product recommendations, sourcing suggestions, and a finalized source list to assist Client in implementing the design. Product recommendations are provided for convenience and inspiration only and do not constitute procurement, purchasing, or ordering services.
Client acknowledges that product availability, pricing, lead times, and specifications are subject to change at any time and may differ from information shown at the time recommendations are provided. While Homzie makes reasonable efforts to share accurate product links and details, Homzie does not guarantee product availability, pricing stability, delivery timelines, or that recommended items will remain in stock.
Client understands that Homzie does not guarantee the lowest available pricing and is not obligated to research alternative pricing, price match, track promotions, apply discounts, or provide trade pricing. Homzie may receive compensation or commissions through affiliate links associated with recommended products.
If Client wishes to incorporate existing furniture or décor into the design, Client must disclose such items within the Project Questionnaire so they may be considered in the design plans and source list.
10. Product Recommendations and Furnishings Procurement Disclaimer
Homzie does not provide procurement services for Interior Items or Furnishings. Client is solely responsible for ordering, payment, returns, exchanges, delivery coordination, installation, and inspection of all Interior Items and Furnishings purchased. Client acknowledges that final costs may exceed estimated budgets due to additional expenses including, but not limited to, sales tax, shipping, delivery fees, surcharges, ancillary items, and accessories, which may not be known until items are purchased. Client agrees to assume full responsibility for all such costs.
Client is responsible for reviewing and complying with all vendor and retailer return, exchange, and cancellation policies prior to purchase and understands that some items may be non-refundable, non-returnable, or subject to restocking fees. Homzie bears no responsibility for return costs, refunds, replacements, delays, cancellations, or vendor-related errors and Client agrees to hold Homzie harmless for issues beyond Homzie’s control, including wholesaler or retailer communication failures, errors, or delays.
Homzie offers a generous seven (7) day link guarantee following project completion. If an item on the finalized source list becomes unavailable within this period, and the Client notifies the Designer within that time period, Homzie will provide a suitable replacement at no additional design fee. Revisions to the source list after finalization are not included in the Service Fee, and Homzie is under no obligation to revise or replace items that are delayed, back-ordered, or unavailable after the seven (7) day guarantee period. Any revisions accepted outside this period will be billed at Homzie’s hourly design rate of $55 per hour, with a two hour minimum, at Homzie’s discretion.
Client acknowledges that prompt purchasing is strongly recommended to improve availability and lead times. Homzie does not guarantee product availability beyond the seven (7) day link guarantee window.
10. Third-Party Vendors
Designer assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable for any refund, personal injury, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be caused by: (1) any defaults, wrongful or negligent acts, or omissions of a third-party vendor; (2) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, craft, equipment, or instrumentality owned, operated, or otherwise used or provided by a third-party vendor; or (3) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under Designer’s control. Client hereby releases and holds Designer harmless from any and all claims arising out of third-party vendor occurrences.
11. Changes In Service
Client may request changes to the scope of Services originally agreed upon. Any request to modify or extend the Services included in a design package must be submitted in writing and clearly outline the proposed changes. Reductions to the scope of Services are not permitted after execution of this Agreement.
All scope change requests are subject to review and approval, and Homzie reserves the right to decline any proposed changes. If approved, changes may require additional fees, upfront payment prior to work beginning, and/or an adjustment to the project delivery timeline. All approved changes and additional services remain subject to the terms of this Agreement. Designer will not begin work on any additional services until all applicable fees have been paid in full.
11. Gift Cards
Treat this card as cash. It will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Redeemable at Homzie, Inc. for virtual design services not exceeding the remaining credit balance on this card. Valid one year from the date of purchase.
11. Appropriate Conduct
In the event Designer or any of its agents experience or are made aware of any inappropriate, threatening, hostile, or offensive behavior from Client, at any time during the contractual period (including, but not limited to, unwelcome sexual advances, verbal conduct of a sexual nature, or verbal harassment related to race, sex, creed, color, marital status, sexual orientation, family status, and/or disability), Designer will terminate services immediately, and this Agreement shall be deemed terminated. Upon termination due to harassment, Designer shall be entitled to retain all monies paid, and Client agrees to relieve and hold Designer harmless as a result of incomplete services.
11. Intellectual Property
Homzie, Inc. retains all intellectual property and proprietary rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights, patents, moral rights, and trademarks, interest, and title in and to all Design Plans, Source Lists, and materials created while rendering the Services, whether they be preliminary or final designs will remain its property and are protected by United States Copyright Laws (USC Title 17). Client is given a limited, personal license-to-use the designs for its personal home design purposes only and shall not sell or use the designs for commercial purposes. Violations of this federal law will be subject to civil and criminal penalties. Any and all trademarks, whether registered or unregistered, remain the property of the contributing Party. For purposes of clarity, you are not permitted to sell the intellectual property on any online platform, make copies of the intellectual property, use the intellectual property for any design project not involving us (including if this Agreement has been Terminated), distribute the intellectual property to third parties, or use the intellectual property for any commercial use such as advertising or marketing, without our express written permission. However, you and third parties involved in the project are permitted to share images, photos and videos of the Design Space, provided that Homzie are appropriately credited as the designer, and nothing in this Section should be construed to limit your reasonable use and alienability of the finished Design Space. 12. Client Photos & Marketing Use
By engaging Homzie’s services, the Client grants Homzie the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use and share any images or materials provided by the Client, along with Homzie-generated designs, for marketing, promotional, and portfolio purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, display on Homzie’s social media platforms, website, and other digital or print marketing channels.
Homzie will not disclose any personal or identifying information about the Client in association with these images unless expressly permitted in writing. If the Client wishes to revoke this consent, they must provide written notice to Homzie prior to project completion.
13. Termination of Services
This Agreement remains in effect for the duration of the design scope outlined in the Client’s purchased Services or until the design project is deemed complete, unless earlier terminated in accordance with this Section.
Termination by Client
Client may terminate this Agreement, in whole or in part, at any time by providing written notice to Homzie, Inc. Termination by the Client does not entitle Client to any refund, credit, or release from payment obligations.
Upon termination by Client, the following terms apply:
All Service Fees paid are non-refundable once received.
Client remains responsible for payment of all outstanding balances, including installment payments, invoices, and any Services rendered or work performed through the effective date of termination.
Any in-progress designs, concepts, proposals, sourcing, layouts, renderings, or materials are considered earned and billable.
Homzie is under no obligation to complete remaining deliverables, provide unfinished work, or release draft or partial materials.
Homzie reserves the right to pursue additional remedies available under applicable law in the event of breach.
All outstanding balances must be paid within three (3) calendar days of the final invoice and are subject to the Overdue Payments provisions of this Agreement.
Termination By Homzie
Homzie reserves the right to terminate this Agreement immediately, with or without notice, at its sole discretion. Grounds for termination may include, but are not limited to, non-payment or late payment, repeated delays, lack of communication, failure to provide required information or approvals, scope abuse, violation of these Terms, or any behavior that is harassing, abusive, inappropriate, or unprofessional toward any Homzie team member. Homzie may also terminate this Agreement if Client conduct materially interferes with Homzie’s ability to perform the Services efficiently or professionally, including but not limited to shopping for, purchasing, sourcing, or independently modifying the design or space while the project is underway. If termination occurs due to Client breach or misconduct, all fees paid remain non-refundable and Client remains responsible for all outstanding balances incurred through the date of termination. Homzie is not obligated to complete the project or release unfinished work under any circumstance.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination of this Agreement by either party, Homzie will immediately cease work on the project and will have no obligation to complete remaining deliverables, revisions, or phases of the Services. Any unfinished concepts, drafts, designs, or materials will not be released. All completed work remains the intellectual property of Homzie unless otherwise stated in writing. All payment obligations, including outstanding invoices and installment payments, survive termination of this Agreement.
Project Expiration
Any design project that has not been initiated within twelve (12) months of the purchase date will be deemed expired. Expired projects are not eligible for reactivation and must be repurchased at current pricing in order to resume Services.
