VIDEO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Virtual Interior Designer

It means so much to me that you are interested in joining our team of virtual designers. As an entirely virtual company, it’s vital that we utilize technology to effectively communicate with our clients. Please carefully follow the instructions below on how to create your video submission along with your application . We’ll evaluate both your application and video submission to determine if we want to move forward in the process and set up an interview.

We want to see you in action! Below you'll find an actual client submission from our design consult service. A service clients use when they want to get feedback and advice from a designer about what they should do in their space.

We want YOU to take the lead on this one!

Review the client's questions below and see the attached photos. Then create a 5 -10 minute Loom video addressing the client's questions about their space, using their photos as a visual aid. Be sure to include any additional feedback or advice that the client may need to hear in order to achieve the best-looking space possible. You can use additional photos from the web or other online sources to help you communicate your points to the client. This is not as much about sourcing products, but rather providing valuable design advice, but don’t be afraid to show us what you’ve got! Please be sure to record your computer screen and show a bubble with your face! We want to see your ideas AND YOU shine!

Most importantly…. Have fun with it! We're wanting to see your personality, confidence, passion, empathy, and professionalism shine!

After you have completed your video, you can share a link to your video submission by emailing anna@homziedesigns.com

Video Submission Instructions:

Client Name: Dominique
Client Space: Living, Kitchen, and Dining Room (open concept)
Client Style: Studio Mcgee, Amber Interiors, Stoffer Home

Feedback Requested: "I have an open concept living dining and kitchen area and it is very small. The space feels disjointed and I need it to be unified. The dining area needs a new light. I’m not crazy about the one there. The dining table is a work in progress and will be refinished soon to look more like white oak (less yellow and orange). I'm considering a buffet table up against the wall near the sliding door? Should I do maybe a rug under the table? My sitting area is small. I need a rug and coffee table or ottoman. Also art above the sofa. The space is tricky and annoying and I'd love any feedback. Also, the living room area can take up to a 9.7" long rug so an 8 x 10 is out. Any feedback or help is appreciated :)"
