What We’re Looking For

  • You are a gifted communicator and come across as confident, energetic, passionate, and clear on video and through written communication. You enjoy working 1:1 with people and have an engaging personality that builds instant trust and deep connections with people. You’re a people person!

  • A design degree is a big plus, but we also value experience, passion, and talent. Have you created 2D & 3D mood boards & designs? Does creating 2D mood boards feel like a snap? Is creating realistic 3D room designs your happy place? Our designers are highly skilled at MyDoma (3d visualizer) and Photoshop. Do you stay up with the latest design trends, products, and resources? Are you extremely detail-oriented? Does reading between the lines to understand someone’s style come second nature to you? Then girl we’re looking for you!

  • You are a quick learner? Confident in using & independently troubleshooting various design & communication software. Do you have a black belt in online shopping and can quickly and easily find the perfect product for your client’s style & space. Humble brag, you’ve got the internet basically memorized.

  • The first thing we notice about you is that you care about the people you’re designing for just as much as the design you’re creating. Compassion communicates.

  • We’re currently looking for candidates with at least 20 hours of potential design work availability. Individuals who are wanting to be a part of a team for the long haul. While not a requirement, we prefer clients who are not currently taking on their own design clients.

  • We want to create a tight-knit community of remote designers here on our corner of the internet. Are you a team player with a desire to make others better by sharing ideas, asking for help, and giving advice? Do you always have the perfect gif response? Then you’re our girl!

What We’re Building

Homzie is a virtual interior design service aimed at taking the hard work out of home decorating,

We believe everyone deserves to come home to a life-giving environment that restores, inspires, and helps you gather the people you love together.

We’re building a thriving remote network of talented designers and decorators who want to use their passion and gifts to serve people across the country, helping them to love where they live.

We believe home is personal, and the design experience should be too.

Our Hiring Process

  • Show off your 2D mood board and 3D rendering design skills and share a little about yourself!

  • If we think your design skills are a great fit we’ll ask you to complete a video submission! Strong communication skills are a MUST for any Homzie designer. We’ll give you an example client space for you to share your design knowledge and personality like you would with a real client!

  • We’ll invite you to our online software for a test project where you’ll get to show-off your skills in real time and get a taste of our process.

  • This last step in our process is pretty much a vibe check! We think you’re our pick and just want to make sure it’s the perfect it all around.

My deepest desire is to help people create life-giving environments within their homes that restore, inspire, and help them gather the people they love together. While working in ministry at a local church for six years, I saw just how powerful well-designed spaces were in achieving that vision. The environments we create in our homes have the power to change the way we feel, even our lives, for ourselves and others. That’s why I started Homzie in 2019.

I dreamed of helping people take the hard work out of home decorating by creating a seamless online interior design experience. Giving them the confidence to open the doors to their homes. To date, Homzie has helped hundreds of clients from across the country decorate like pros. It’s incredible to be able to turn our clients’ homes into spaces they love to share.

Home is personal, we believe the design experience should be also.
